Long-term treatment with testosterone has shown mixed effects on weight and waist size among 411 hypogonadal men with obesity classified into Classes I-III. While some participants reported positive outcomes, including improvements in body composition and waist-to-hip ratio, significant reductions in waist circumference were not consistently observed. Notably, while total fat mass (adiposity) did not change significantly, there was evidence of fat redistribution from potentially harmful abdominal locations to less risky subcutaneous fat deposits. The study highlights the need for further research to establish clear guidelines for testosterone therapy in this population, as individual responses vary and long-term metabolic outcomes remain areas of exploration. | #begreep
